B and B location

We will be staying in Copenhagen from 22 to 26 August and are hoping to stay in a B and B as this tends to be a more interesting experience than a hotel(and cheaper!). Does anyone know anything about the B and B at 25 Gasvaerksvej? What is this area like? Is it easy to get to places from there, is it quiet or noisy, are there places nearby for breakfast/dinner? Thanks for any information or suggestions.

I don%26#39;t have any 1.st hand knowledge of the conditions of Gasværksvej 25, but I can tell You a bit about the surroundings.

It%26#39;s centrally placed, about 10 mins. walk from the main train station and 15 mins. from City Hall square - but, as my mom would have said, It%26#39;s placed on the wrong side of the railroadtracks!

It%26#39;s actually in the very centre of Copenhagens %26quot;red light%26quot; district - not that it%26#39;s unsafe or filthy or anything - but be prepared to run into some pornshops an stuff like that.

Actually the whole area has been renewed and restored for billions of kroner the last 10 years, and especially Halmtorvet - located right next to Gasværksvej, is one of the most beautiful recreational cityareas We have, and especially on a nice summerday, it%26#39;s a place You wanna spend some time.

You can occasionally run into a prostitute or a homeless person on Your way walking towards the main station, but for me, it%26#39;s no big deal. There are lot%26#39;s of(also 5 star)hotels in the area, and it%26#39;s as safe as any other place in town - as You say, it%26#39;s sometimes more interesting not %26quot;just%26quot; to follow the beaten path.
