arhus to skien or eskilstuna

Have now found out that the concert we were travelling to is cancelled! and wondered how difficult it would be to travel from arhus to either skien or eskilstuna?

Sorry you concert has been cancelled.

Both trips are possible but they are no walk in the park.

To get to Skien in Norway you go by train from Århus to either Hirtshals or Frederikshavn.

Then on a ferry to either Kristiansand or Oslo.

And then by train from Kristiansand or Oslo to Skien.

To get to Eskilstuna - you go by train from Århus to Grenå and then by ferry to Varberg in Sweden and continue on to Eskilstuna.

So your three possible routes are:

Århus-Hirtshals-Kristiansand-Skien

Århus-Frederikshavn-Oslo-Skien

Århus-Grenå-Varberg-Eskilstuna

As far as I know, no online travelplan will give you an itinerary for trips involving ferry crossings like this, so you%26#39;ll have to look up the connections yourself.

Trainrides from Århus to Hirtshals, Oslo or Grenå can be planned here:

www.rejseplanen.dk

The ferry from Hirtshals to Kristiansand is bookable here:

The ferry from Frederikshavn to Oslo and from Grenå to Varberg is bookable here:

The trainride from Varberg to Eskilstuna can be planned here:

And the trainrides Kristiansand-Skien or Oslo-skien can be planned here:

Thank you for your help I will look into these trips. I anticipate we may not be able to make the journey so lets hope our time in Aarhus is enjoyable!
