transportation for a party of ten

We are a party of ten arriving to Copenhagen on Thursday, July 23, with grandparents (80s), parents (mid 40s), teens and small kids (3, 7 and 9). After reading the forum I understand it is very easy arriving to the hotel - The Square - from the airport via train, but we are worried about the considerable luggage. We cannot enter one taxi anyway. Our travel agent suggested a shuttle van,yet I would like to explore my options, as I don%26#39;t trust his prices. We also need to arrive to the port on July 25 for the Emerald Princess%26#39;s Baltic Cruise. Do you, Copenhagen helpful experts, have any suggestions on means of transportation and costs? Do you already know from which pier the Emerald Princess leaves as we have not yet received any information about it. Many thanks for all of the usefull information

Emerald Princess leaves from Sundkaj (quay 245) - Copenhagen Freeport at 20:00.

Normal taxis will take max 4 pax and %26quot;big%26quot; taxis max 8 pax, so you will need 2 taxis or a minibus.

Cost for taxi

airport - hotel (normal) DKK 180-200

airport-hotel (big) DKK 280-300

hotel-pier (normal) DKK 120-130

hotel-pier (big) DKK 210-220

You can try to contact these companies, to get an offer:

www.larsenbus.dk/english/minibusser.htm

http://midibus.dk/2/

This next site is in Danish only, but try call them -they probably speak english:

Offcourse, there%26#39;s also lot%26#39;s of companies renting out minibusses without driver (i.e Hertz), but I don%26#39;t suppose that%26#39;s an option for You?!

I wish You and Your large family a pleasant stay in Our Beautiful city of CPH. I hope the weather will be with You ;)

You probably know this, but here it is anyway: Remember to dial +45(countrycode) before the actual number.

Many thanks Hans and JensenDK for the useful information. I will certainly try to contact these companies to hear their offers. Personally, such a short visit with such a large family is not enough to explore the city, and I am waiting for for an opportunity to come again for the %26quot;true%26quot; Copenhagen experience. Still, a short visit is also enjoyable and rewarding.
