Laundry Service in Copenhagen

We will be staying at the Marriott for a few days.

2 adults and 2 kids.

Are there any laundry services to do self-laundry that we can do during our stay?

The hotel laundry service is OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE.

Copenhagen is plastered with self-laundry-services. I can%26#39;t tell you specifically where the nearest one to your hotel is located, but take a a walk in the neighbourhood and I am sure you will find one.

There are a lot of %26quot;møntvask%26quot; (coin-wash) in Copenhagen, but not so many directly in the area around the Marriott. Most coin-wash places are--as you might expect--nearer areas dominated by older, small apartments, such as Vesterbro and Nørrebro.

I searched Krak.dk and Eniro.dk for %26quot;møntvaskerier%26quot; near post code 1560 (the code for the area are Marriott hotel), with closest results out in Vesterbro; however, that%26#39;s a long walk with laundry. There might be clothes washing machines at DGI Byen (near Central Stn.) or Danhostel City; otherwise, maybe (unlisted places) around the Halmtorvet area? I think your best bet is to google DGI Byen and Danhostel City and then email them to ask if you could use their laundry facilities.

A tip for N. American travellers to Europe who plan to do laundry: Purchase some laundry powder once arrived, or bring some %26quot;HE%26quot; (high efficiency, low-sudsing) laundry powder from home. Using regular Tide or other %26quot;normal%26quot; detergents from N. America (designed for top-load washers) will likely over-suds the front load washers with soapy foam, could overflow them, and likely won%26#39;t rinse well. You can get a small box of Ariel or Omo at Netto for about 20-25 Dkr. Bring some dryer sheets, too.
