Location of Copenhagen Central Station etc.

We are disembarking a Holland America Cruise at Copenhagen Freeport on the morning of Sept. 4th and planning on spending a night in Copenhagen before flying back to Chicago the next day. We would like to stay in the city center near Kongens Nytorv, Radhuspladsen, and Tivoli...Where is the central station in relation to these places?...What is the best way to get from the cruise ship terminal to the central station (which I assume is somewhere in the city center) and from the city center to the airport ?...Any recommendations on moderately priced but nice accommodations for that one night?...

Hotel Bethel in Nyhavn (http://www.hotel-bethel.dk/) and The Square on Radhuspladsen (http://www.thesquarecopenhagen.com/) are popular hotels in Copenhagen.

You can find other hotels here: hotels-in-denmark.dk/copenhagen-hotels-denma…

The Central Station is next to Tivoli, about 500 m from Radhuspladsen and about 1.8 km from Kongens Nytorv.

A taxi from Copenhagen Freeport to Tivoli/Radhuspladsen cost approx. DKK 150–175. Slightly less to Kongens Nytorv/Nyhavn.

Getting from Copenhagen Freeport to Copenhagen Centre by metro and train:

The nearest S-train station is Nordhavn Station. It takes 15 minutes walk (see the sign in the port).

For Central Station:

Take the S-train A, B, C or E-line to Central Station.

For Kongens Nytorv/Nyhavn:

Take the S-train A, B, C or E-line only 2 stop to Norreport Station. Change to the Metro, which will take you to Kongens Nytorv.

Getting to the airport:

From Central Station:

Take the train, which will take you direct to terminal 3 in airport (departs every 10 min).

From Kongens Nytorv:

Take the Metro, which will take you direct to terminal 3 in airport (departs every few min).
