Hi I like the sound of this Hotel, photos look lovely but I can%26#39;t find any websites for it, please help we leave on Fri and no Hotel yet

here is the link - we stayed there last week for 3 nights and my review is about to go live on TA (once they have done their checks)

I can tell you that double rooms start from 845kr and the exate in £ today is £99.00

That does sound a lot, but believe me, I did a ton of research beforehand and costed up around 12 hotels pre-visit and that rate is very good.

Rooms are basic and clean. Breakfast is included in the rate - a major plus point is the excellent location on the Nyhavn, but what impressed me the most was the wonderful and helpful staff....nothing was too much trouble.

Tivoli question

Now I did do a search I just wanted to clarify. On the website it said %26quot;open everyday until 20 September%26quot;

Does this mean its completely shut down after that or just during the week. I will be in Copenhagen around 25 September, and was just wondering if it will be completely shut down until the week it is open in October.

Unfortunately for you it will be completely shutdown until October and then again after that until end of November.

Im wondering to buy footwear fro Denmark in January .....what does anyone suggest ?

And , do we buy here in Australia....or in Denmark.

Hi there

Having just returned from Copenhagen, I would suggest that whilst the shoes and boots I saw (and I did shop lots) were very lovely, the prices compared to the UK were quite expensive.

I an not sure how much you would consider paying as it%26#39;s like %26#39;how long is a piece of string%26#39;......but if this was my dilemma, I would be buying at home.

The other reason to do this is to give those boots a good old wearing in. It would be awful if you daughter was to step out in her new boots, looking lovely and then find that with all the walking the boots rubbed....just a thought.

Do note that the boots should have some insulation and soles with good grip. It maybe snow and ice in CPH in Jan.

Denmark Rail Pass

we will be arriving at Copenhagen airport travel to Aarhus from the airport, probably take a few day trips and then back to Copenhagen for two days.

The One Country Railpass seems a reasonable price for Denmark ($119 saver rate for 7 days, adult)

Is the pass good for the trip from CPH to Aarhus central station? Does it seem reasonable to get the one week rail pass to get from teh Copenhagen airport to Aarhus, explore Denmark for a few days and then tarvel back to Copenhagen?

End of March in Denmark/Sweden/Norway

We are planning to go to the scandinavian countries (Denmark/Sweden/Norway)in end of March next year. Is the end of March a good time to go to the scandinavian countries or will it be very cold at this time of the year?

Is this the rainy season for these countries?

March is the 1.st spring-month in Scandinavia. Weather is hard to predict in this period. Be prepared for everything, follow the weather forecasts.

Winter is dec-jan-feb, spring is march-april-may, but if You%26#39;re a bit unlucky, winter can stretch into march and even april - especially in Norway and Sweden. On the other hand, Summer can start a little early, and You may run into sun and blue heaven and no wind.

My estimate is that the temps. will be between 13-19 degrees celsius.

Statistically March is the month with least precipitation in Denmark, though you may experience precipitation 1 day out of 3. Mostly a drizzle or a light snow shower.

Average temperatures are around 5C, but you may experience anything from -15C to 18C.

Planning Opera Trip in Jan Need Help!

Hi all and thanks in advance,need some advice as I was planning to go to Copenhagen 13 and 14 Jan for opera.Need advice on a hotel nearby or info on how handy or not opera house is to get to,plus how to get to and from airport.

You will experience more rain or sleet than snow in January. In the last decade the few (2 IIRC) snowstorms that have more or less closed down Denmark have always been in the first half of February. Closure of Copenhagen Airport for more than a few hours due to weather is unlikely.

We stayed at the Marriott. It was very roomy if you like space. There is a water shuttle from Marriott to opera.
