Planning Opera Trip in Jan Need Help!

Hi all and thanks in advance,need some advice as I was planning to go to Copenhagen 13 and 14 Jan for opera.Need advice on a hotel nearby or info on how handy or not opera house is to get to,plus how to get to and from airport.

Maybe a hotel in the Nyhavn area will suite you, e.g.

http://www.hotel-bethel.dk/ or www.71nyhavnhotel.com/

You can then take the harbour bus from Nyhavn to the opera.

Thanks a lot,just another thought is it crazy to go in January,what is the weather like then,is there any danger of airport closures etc?

You will experience more rain or sleet than snow in January. In the last decade the few (2 IIRC) snowstorms that have more or less closed down Denmark have always been in the first half of February. Closure of Copenhagen Airport for more than a few hours due to weather is unlikely.

We stayed at the Marriott. It was very roomy if you like space. There is a water shuttle from Marriott to opera.
