Inexpensive/Safe lodging close to airport/train?

Hi again, now looking for a room (not too pricey) for our daughter for one brief night in Copenhagen before she boards train to Aarhus. We have been looking at both hostels and hotels.

She will be getting off the plane around 4:30 pm and would like to catch the train out in the morning. It looks like she can get on the train in downtown somewhere but have not researched that too much yet either. Lodging nearby would be great. She will have 2 rolling suitcases so a short walk would be great or maybe shuttle?

Any suggestions appreciated.

thank you,

Susan

A couple of hotel suggestions:

1. Hotel Nebo is just behind Central Station; a good-enough, inexpensive hotel. Nebo.dk

2. Zleep hotel %26quot;Kastrup.%26quot; About 100m from Tårnby station, which is just 1 stop toward Copenhagen from the airport. Zleep.dk

I don%26#39;t know of any hotels or hostels offering shuttle services.

Keep in mind... there are frequent trains to Århus from the airport, including some which do not require a change, with total travel time about 3.5 hours. She can also fly to AAR from CPH with SAS or Cimber Air; flight times about 35 minutes.

Thank you EuroDon,

That Hotel Nebo looks good for value and it%26#39;s location near the Central Station. From searching the forum here it looks like she can take the train from the airport and walk and then back to the Central Station for train to Aarhus.

She likes the idea of staying in Copenhagen for the night and being able to see some country during the day though I imagine it stays light out there till late in the summer. Hmmmm...maybe she should just get to Aarhus that night...suppose I will also research lodging in Aarhus for the one night. That may make more sense as she checks into her dorm that day.

thank you again,

Susan

Just my two cents: Nothing against Arhus, but Copenhagen is an infinitely more interesting city. Unless she is totally zonked from the plane flight she should not pass up the opportunity to see a little bit of Copenhagen, which as you mentioned can be done in sunshine until quite late this time of year.

I second the comment on Hotel Nebo, BTW. A clean, friendly little place, and can%26#39;t be beat for the location and price.
