January Copenhagen Visit - How long & what to expect

Forum posts dont recommend January Visits due to weather. We will be in Europe for Business and want to visit two cities and Copenhagen has always been on our list. We imagine that we are best to allocate 3 full days (excluding arrival and departure day). Comments please.

Weather might restrict activities and I guess some attractions (eg Tivoli) might not be open due to the season.

IS it fair to say that while not the perfect time to visit (due to short days %26amp; weather) we will still be able to spend a rewarding few days in the city focusing mainly on the architecture and cityscape? rather than too much else?? Just not to sure what to expect and therefore whether to put this on our list

The weather suck in January, it gets dark early and the days are short and Copenhagen is a totally different place during the summer. That being said there is still a lot to see and do. Depending on your timing you can see the queen in a golden carriage on her way to meet the dignitaries. The museums are open and if you are dressed warmly you will be ok.

I can hear that You have done some homework on this one. Poeple normally don%26#39;t choose DK for the weather, but offcourse it%26#39;s nicer in the summer. Sure the outdoor tourist orientated places will be closed, but as CPH is not a City just based on tourism, You will never find it dead or sleepy in the winter either.

CPH is worth a visit all year around, and as long as You now what to expect weatherwise, and dress due to that, You will be able to have a nice time in CPH.

Have a nice trip, and may the weather be with You.
