taxis/ cph card

We will be arriving in Copenhagen on Aug 13. Should we purchase CPH card at the airport since we will be in Copenhagen for a day and a half. Can we get to our hotel, Clarion by Tivoli by train? What is the best way to get to the cruise ship dock from our hotel? What is the best way to get to the ship dock from the airport? Do the taxi%26#39;s take credit cards?

What a bunch of questions :-)

1) Only but the if you know you will use it a lot. You can buy it at the airport just after you pass customs at the airport

2) Is it Clarion Hotel Twentyseven? If so you can take the train (not metro) to central station. it%26#39;s about 600 meter walk from central station

3) take the S-train from Central station, platform 9 or 10 (any train from these platforms will do) Get of at %26quot;Nordhavn station%26quot; and walk the rest. From the train platfor at %26quot;Nordhavn station%26quot; look out for the cruise ships so you know which direction to walk before going down to street level.

4) From the airport i would take the metro to %26quot;Nørreport%26quot; station. Change here for %26quot;S-train%26quot;. any north bound train will do. Get of at Nordhavn station - same instructions as above.

5) Yes. Almost all taxi%26#39;es take creditcard. Look out for the sign in front of the passenger seat. Most often there will be a fee of 3% for using foreign cards.

Be aware that cruise ships dock at 3 different places in Copenhagen: Freeport, Langelinie and Nordre Toldbod.

Above description suits for Copenhagen Freeport, but walking from Nordhavn Station to the other 2 is not wise.
