Tivoli Gardens

I know it%26#39;s very pricey, and some of the admission fees are a bit confusing. So apparently there are fees in addition to the entrance fee for all of the rides. My question is: does the additional fee cover all the rides or do you have to pay additional fees for each ride that you take? And how much would this fee cost?

My other question is whether there is a day or a special time of day in which the additional fee for the rides is either free or at a discounted price. Just trying to get the most out of my visit to Tivoli without having to go on an all-out splurge.

Thanks for all the help!

The entrance is 85 dkr for adults and 45dkr for kids under 12. Babies are free.

The only exception is Friday night when there%26#39;s an open air rockkoncert. Then adults pay 125 dkr for entry after 8 p.m.

That%26#39;s admission - now you can stroll the garden and take in the amazing atmosphere of the place also just walk around and figure out if you want to try a lot of the rides if you do buy a pass that covers all rides:

Adults 210 dkr - kids under 12 170 dkr.

If only a few rides seems worth trying just buy tickets - one ticket is 20 dkr - a ride may cost as much as 4 tickets.

There%26#39;s a folder you can ask for from the ticket booths inside that will show you how many tickets each ride cost.

But there are other attractions besides rides - places you can win things and those are not covered by the pass or the tickets you pay if you want to try your luck.

Have fun - that%26#39;s what it%26#39;s all about.

The pricing works like this because lot%26#39;s of locals will just take an evening stroll through the park - maybe buy an icecream take a ride in the farris wheel if that%26#39;s a favorite.

Tivoli is not only an amusement park where people travel far to visit and then spend all day - it%26#39;s also just a place to hang out for an hour on your way home.

We were in Tivoli for only a few hours and enjoyed it. We strolled the gardens, watched the rides and enjoyed the beer garden. Tivoli is not comparable to Disney World at all. There are not near as many rides and it is not as big. The price was reasonable - 6 adults for a little over $120. (We did not ride any of the rides though.)

is it better to go during the day or at night?

Tivoli Is nice in the day time, but better in the the evening when all the lights are lit.

I would go for at night when all the lights are on.

We went both at day and night, and liked it better at night. You might want to think about a CPH card- it gets you into the grounds for free (and other attractions and public transport), and then you would only have to buy ride tickets if you wanted to go on the rides.
