Travel in Denmark and from Oslo

We are finishing a Norway cruise in Oslo and would like to spend a few days in Denmark. We plan on taking the train up to Kronberg one day but I would really like to travel down to Mon Klint. Is there a railway that goes down there or must we rent a car?

Also my friend%26#39;s name is Husum and he would like to visit that town. Can you tell me where it is and if there is really anything to see. We don%26#39;t want to go out of our way if indeed it is only a residential area as I read on the internet.

Thank you so much

For public transport in Denmark try the journey planner: www.rejseplanen.dk. You can go by train from Cph to Vordingborg, and then 2 buses to Mons Klint, about 3 hours. It%26#39;s a great scenery, and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. (visiteastdenmark.com/international/en-gb/men…)

Husum is a suburb to Cph, as you say residential area, it would take some 30 minutes by bus fro Cph central station. The other Husum is actually in Germany, here%26#39;s the city website: http://www.husum-tourismus.de/home.html?%26amp;L=1

Kronborg Castle is an easy train ride (45 min) to Helsingor (Elsinore) and a short walk to the castle. You can actually see the castle from the railway station. Trains are running every 20 min (10 min during rush hours).

Mons Klint is an amazing sight, but unfortunately a bit complicated to reach by public transport. As the previous poster said, you can take the train to Vordingborg and then you need 2 buses to reach Mons Klint. The travel time is closer to 4 hours than 3. The bus from Stege (the main town on Mon) to Mons Klint only runs 4 times daily. I might consider renting a car to go there. By road Mons Klint is some 140 km from Copenhagen.
