hvidovre hotel

Please can you spread some light on this hotel i have just booked a suite 15th Jan-18th Jan 2010,the reviews are not promising?

but the web site looks very nice has any body stayed here and if so what availibul near by ie Eating Houses,Culture,

Do you mean Scandic Hvidovre?

This hotel is for business men needing a quick and decent place to sleep for one night before a quick meeting in Copenhagen. I%26#39;m sure it%26#39;s a very nice hotel.

But I would not recommend it for a tourist wanting to visit Copenhagen - it%26#39;s way out in the suburbs and not a pretty place.

It%26#39;s right next to the main motorway going in and out of Copenhagen. Nearby is a MacDonalds, a huge hospital and nothing else.

It%26#39;s quite a long walk, along a deserted road to the closest train station and then a 10-15 minute train ride into town.

There%26#39;s not much fun to do in hvidovre ( I live there). However, if you want to go on a trip to Copenhagen, the bus called %26quot;1A - Hellerup st.%26quot; will take you there within 20-30 min. It%26#39;s located across the street from Mcdonalds.

You will need a %26quot;2 zone%26quot; ticket, which cost 21 DDK each way.

Otherwise there%26#39;s a shopping center in Rodovre (neighbourcity to Hvidovre). The bus called %26quot;200S- Lyngby st.%26quot; across the street from the hotel, will take you there within 15 minuttes and it%26#39;s the same ticket type as the other bus.

It%26#39;s very common in denmark to ask the driver to tell you when to get off, - he%26#39;ll most likely say it over the speaker.

Correction: the ticket type/price to Copenhagen from hvidovre is a %26quot;3 zone%26quot; ticket which costs about 31 DDK.

But to Rodovre it%26#39;s only a %26quot;2 zone%26quot; ticket for 21 DDk.
