Walking Tours

I will be visiting Copenhagen in early September and would like to find a Walking Tour in English. I have read about the bike tours, but am interested in a walking tour.

If you are looking for organised walking tours look here: http://www.copenhagen-walkingtours.dk/

If you want to do your own tour, pick the sites you want to visit and pick up a free map of Copenhagen at the tourist info desk at the airport.

Hans:

Thank you so much for your reply. We have five days to spend in and around Copenhagen before boarding our cruise ship and the walking tour and a bike tour sound like fun. Any other don%26#39;t miss locations or things to do?

Outside Copenhagen you could visit the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde, Kronborg Castle (Hamlet%26#39;s Castle) in Helsingor (Elsinore) and Frederiksborg Castle in Hillerod.

What are this best ways to get to the locations you suggested we visit? Train?

|||

Yes, easy train trips.

You can plan here: http://www.rejseplanen.dk/ (change language near the bottom of the page).

This is probably a great web-site, but I don%26#39;t read or speak Danish.

|||

Like Hans wrote - you change language at the bottom of the page - under the green banner there%26#39;s a tiny British flag.

|||

I found the little flag and have almost figured everything out.

Thanks for %26quot;setting me straight.%26quot;

We have just returned 6 nights in Copenhagen and after much checking around we found NO active walking tours in Copenhagen. We learned from the Tourist Info Center that Hans Christian Anderson walking tours went into retirement the day before we arrived.
