baggage storage

We will be arriving at the freeport pier on Sunday 13th of Sept. at 8:30am, we can not check in until 1:PM.What can we do with our luggage and how do we

get to town hall for a tour. Iread that there is no

bus 26 on Sundays at this Pier Sounds like there is

not anything there like the other pier.I hate to sit

there for 4 and 1/2 hours to check in. If we had known this we would have booked ahotel a day earlier.

Hi Nana,

Central Station has baggage storage facilities - both lockers and a serviced area or maybe your hotel will let you leave your luggage at the hotel until you can check in.

You are correct, bus 26 does not go to the Freeport on Sundays.

The Nearest S-train station is Nordhavn Station. It takes 15 minutes walk (See the sign in the port). Take the S-train A, B, C or E-line to Central Station.

The Town Hall is a 10 minutes walk from Central Station.

Thanks so much Hans, the problem is we are picked up at the airport and carried to the boat. They said that we have to stay with our luggage until check in time @ 1PM. How much would be a taxi from the freeport port to town square. How far is town square from the s station?

Sorry, I seem to have misunderstood your question.

I thought that your cruise ship was arriving at 8:30am and you were going to check in at a Copenhagen hotel at 1pm.

Is the pick up from the airport and dropping at the free port included in your cruise?

If not, I would take the train from the airport to central station (cost DKK 31.50/person) and drop your luggage there, walk 10 min to the Town Hall and go on your trip from there. After your trip you can go back to central station and pick up your luggage. Then either take S-train to Nordhavn station (cost DKK 21/person) and walk 15 min to the free port or take a taxi from central station to the free port (cost around DKK 200).

A taxi from the airport to the free port will cost around DKK 400.

A taxi from the freeport port to Townhall Square will cost around DKK 175. Townhall Square is about 10 min walk from either Vesterport station or Central station.

You have been very helpful,thanks so much. We have already paid for the transfer to the ship thru Princess. Is the info you have giving me better than taking a taxi to the other port and then taking a bus to town hall? There is no bus on Sundays at freeport pier.

I was able to solve my problem. I emailed the tour co. and they said to take a taxi to town hall and they have a place for luggage if you take the grand tour, which we plan to do.

Thanks for your info about the cost for a taxi from

freeport pier to town hall. I think that you said the taxi will take a credit card.
