Assuming money is no object what are the five best hotels in Copenhagen?
|||
I would say Nimb is the best as all the rooms are luxurious. It has a great location, the hotel is new and the rooms are individually decorated with antiques some even has fireplaces.

others are:
Hotel Skt. Petri
D%26#39;angleterre
Hilton Copenhagen Airport Hotel
Marriot Copenhagen
The last two loose on location though.

there is not five best hotels in copenhagen, sorry but that is a fact (i live here) - try the new one nimb that is close to tivoli, at least yu are then sure to live at the most expensive one

Ehm... Even if you were right and if all hotels in Copenhagen stink, some would probably still be better than others, right?
I have to back up Kinsella%26#39;s post. I am not sure I understand the purpose of the last one.

I would go for Nimb as well....I think that it is the perfect combination of classic Danish %26quot;hygge%26quot; and modern Danish style. Kind of a strange location, but the inside really is fantastic. D%26#39;Angleterre is a classic 4 or 5 Star European Hotel in a perfect location. Skt. Petri is also really cool in a good, centralized location.

What would be best for two middleaged men? They don%26#39;t like to stay in chain hotels, and appreciate luxury, art/history and interior design. They will be staying in Copenhagen for two nights after a MOMA Baltic cruise in July.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Ellen

Hotel Skt. Petri vs Marriott Copenhagen, I think Marriott is better. Nice water views and impeccable service, flawless rooms. Best bedding compared with any hotel.
Both are central, although Skt Petri more central.
|||
Yes, both good places, but I would definately recommend Skt. Petri. For location clearly (Mariott is in the center, but in a pretty desolated area with at least 8-10 minutes walk to restaurants, attractions etc) but also for general ambiance and style.
If money is not an issue in Copenhagen, Skt. Petri or D%26#39;Anglettere would be my recommendations.
|||
I%26#39;ve actually stayed at Marriott in Copenhagen and I must say it%26#39;s a dull, chain hotel.
When you wake up you could be in Berlin, Miami or Copenhagen.
I would choose Nimb for the completely unique experience or Sct. Petri for the more traditionel fancy modern hotel.
D%26#39;Angleterre - if money is no option get one of the rooms facing the square. Don%26#39;t fall for the cheap offers they%26#39;ll stick you in a broom closet and you%26#39;ll refuse to believe it%26#39;s a luxury hotel.

Any comments on Copenhagen Island hotel? It was recommended by a Dane, but no one says anything here about it.
|||
As I best money can buy hotel I don%26#39;t think Island is it.
Also it%26#39;s in a not very central place.
I think SAS Radisson Royal would be a better choice in that category.
