I hope you are visiting on July - otherwise you can not tour Fredensborg Castle.

I suggest you start by going to Helsingør - there%26#39;s a train every 20 minutes - the trip takes 45 minutes.

It%26#39;s a 20 minute walk from the train station - you can see Kronborg as you exit the station.

You can look up all trainconnections on:

www.rejseplanen.dk

From Helsingør you need to ride a small local train towards Hillerød.

It only leaves once an hour between 9 am and 3 pm. - Fredensborg is the 5th. after stop about 20 minutes.

There is a bus to the castle from Fredensborg station - but it leaves long after the train arrives.

I suggest you walk it%26#39;s only a couple of kilometers.

The tours of the castle is between 13-16.30 in July.

From Fredensborg you go back on the same local train and continue on to Hillerød. It%26#39;s a 9 minute walk.

The walk to the castle is about 20-25 minutes.

From Hillerød you ride the S-train back to Copenhagen. It runs every 10 minutes - every 20 after 6.30 pm.

A cphcard covers it all.

This is the same link as Andreodoria mentionened - this is just the english edition of %26quot;Journey Planner%26quot; which You%26#39;ll probably find easier to use..

Weel, that did%26#39;nt work to good. However there is a GB-flag in the bottom of the webside - click on that and voila..

|||

It%26#39;s exactly the same link!!

Rejseplanen always open in Danish. You can change language at the bottom of the page.

thank you for all of you ! your advised information is very helpful for us to plan our trip but looks like a lot of connections then may not be finished the tour before the castle%26#39;s closing time.

what about cutting down to 2 castles visit in a day ? which 2 (nicer and more beautiful and easy to access )will you recommend ?

since we will stay at airport hilton, so we would like to know the public transportation to helsingor from both airport and central station......want to see which way will be easier, convenience and cheaper.

thank in advance !

I would go for Kronborg and Frederiksborg.

Direct trains for Helsingor (Elsinore) are leaving the airport station every 10 minutes most of the day.

does the cph card covers the train ticket to helsingor ?

|||

Yes, CPH Card covers all of North Zealand, and to a bit west of Roskilde and a bit south of Koge.

Area in which CPHCARD gives free transport:
