Accommodation Copenhagen

Can anyone recommend a Bed %26amp; Breakfast or cheap accommodation in Copenhagen for 2 nights in July.

Since Copenhagen is quite expensive in general, it would help a lot if you could tell us what your budget is/how much you are willing to spend per night?

Here are a few suggestions for affordable places to stay:

Danhostel:

or

Copenhagen International Bed %26amp; Breakfast:

Here is a website where you can search and book several B %26amp; B%26#39;s in and around Copenhagen: www.bedandbreakfast.dk/…

The price also depends on how many you are (it is usually cheapest if you are several people and book a room together), if you are willing to stay in a dorm, if you want your own bath, etc...

Thanks Applesaucedk.

Sorry I was very vague. It is our first visit to Scandinavia.

We are an Australian couple, trying to book somewhere central, we were hoping to get somewhere with breakfast included and were hoping for under 1000dkk per night, we originally were looking at Hotel Nebo, but are a bit wary after reading some reviews. I have been looking at Ascot Hotel, or another option was an apartment called Latin Quarter. If you or anyone could give us any recommendations regarding area, places to stay etc.

The date we will be arriving is July 12

Thanking you

We just returned from Copenhagen and we stayed at the Savoy Hotel. Our per night cost was slightly less than your stated budget amount. Suggest you check them out on the internet.

This is a smaller boutique type hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The location is ideal, within easy walking distance of the train station, Tivoli and the sights.

Thanks I have just emailed the Savoy for their availability and rates.

Its good to hear from someone who has stayed at the hotel.

Did you enjoy Copenhagen? Its our first trip to Scandinavia.

Thanks once again

We enjoyed Copenhagen very much. It is a beautiful city. We found Rick Steves guidebook to be very helpful. Have a great trip.

Hi

Thanks for asking the right questions. We are hoping to go to Denmark in September 2010 would love to hear how your trip went.

My grandfather came from Aalborg in Denmark and I hoping to be able to trace my heritage before I go.

If any one is reading this, would love some ideas on when I can do some research.

Happy travelling

We just had a couple stay at our inn (on Møn, opposite side of the country) who were researching their roots; they went away loaded down with photos and data.

The local history museums in Denmark, staffed mostly with volunteer historians, are apparently quite good with genealogy.

If you know a fair amount about your family.. what towns/parishes they came from... its certainly worth contacting the local museum and seeing what they can come up with.

In my case, I was able to show our guests farms that their ancestors would certainly have known and visited.

Hi

Thank you so much for that information. I do have the parish details etc. and I will certainly contact some of the museums in the area.

Where is your inn? Would love to stay if we are in the area.

Once again thank
