Help us with our denmark plan

We are spending about 8 days in denmark in June of 2010. We are traveling with three small kids. Here is our plan thus far, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:

4 nights in Copenhagen with some side trips to Roskilde, Vallo and Helsingor

2 nights in Odense with side trips to eskslov slot and trellebord and vikingemuseet ladby

2 more nights left, perhaps aero for some bike riding, or ribe and mogeltonder

we%26#39;re from california and we have a legoland here so i thought we%26#39;d skip that, plus we%26#39;ll go to Tivoli in copenhagen

Any thoughts, criticisms, etc.?

Thanks in advance.

Just a couple of quick thoughts:

I would still consider Legoland. After all, that%26#39;s the original one! I have been to the one in Denmark but missed the one in Carlsbad, CA (it opened after we had moved from San Diego to Hawaii). After all, just because you%26#39;ve taken your kids to Disneyland in CA (for instance) doesn%26#39;t mean they won%26#39;t enjoy Disney World in FL! And Tivoli and Legoland are two completely different experiences.

Are you driving? If so, then on the day you drive to Helsingør you might consider taking the ferry across to Helsingborg in Sweden (20 minutes), then drive to Malmö and back across the bridge to Copenhagen. That COULD end up being a long day, and if you feel it%26#39;s too much for one day, then just simply do a sidetrip from Copenhagen to Malmö on one of your days in Copenhagen.

Thanks. We will have a car. We will be coming from Sweden, so we should have already covered that.

Telleborg is siutated on Zealand, so it%26#39;s easier to include that during your stay in Copenhagen (plus you avoid paying for crossing the bridge). Roskilde also has a viking ship museum. Allow for most of a day at Egeskov, there%26#39;s plenty to see.

Biking at Aero is a great idea, consider spending a night in Aeroskobing, it%26#39;s a picturesc place.

I wouldn%26#39;t recommend Ribe (nice old part of the town, thoug) or Mogeltonder (very small), however if you do consider spending your last 2 nights in Jutland, go to Legoland (as the other comments: it%26#39;s the original and a great place for kids) and if your kids are interested in animals, consider Givskud zoo or Randers Regnskov.

mange tak!

It sounds like you have a really great trip planned. Be sure to see the great sights in Copenhagen too okay ;o) I hope you%26#39;ll all have a great stay here.
