transportation to Norway from Denmark

Is there any ferry transportation form Denmark to Bergen?

Hi,

There is a ferry from Hirtshals (in northern Jutland) to Bergen 3 times a week.

Thank you. I see you only get a seat and it takes 19 hours to cross. May be better to fly across. What do you think?

You certainly don%26#39;t have to just sit in a seat for the 19 hour ferry ride between Hirtshals and Bergen - there are cabins to be, some of the quite cosy.

Also bear in mind the trip from Copenhagen to Hirtshals is expensive and takes at least 5 hours by car - and about the same by public transport.

So yes I would think flying is faster, cheaper and a lot more comfortable - unless you are a ferry entusiast.

www.norwegian.dk and www.sas.dk have flights from Copenhagen.

Thank you so much for your input. Can you give me some more advise? We plan on leaving Oslo by train to Bergen. We want to go to Flam and do the fiord cruise. Should we get off the train, take the Flam train and end up in Voss. Would we have time to then continue to Bergen or should we go directly to Bergen from Oslo and then taken the Norway in a nutshell tour. We will then fly out of Bergen to Copenhagan. Thanks

You may getter better response asking your detailed questions about Norway in a Norwegian forum (Oslo, Bergen, Flam).
