Car Hire from Billund Airport

I%26#39;m hiring a car from Billund airport. I%26#39;m from the UK and have never driven on the continental side of the road. What is it like around Billund airport and are road signs easy to follow.

Hi,

Roads are good and well signed, and signs are easy to follow. There is usually not very traffic on the roads in the western part of Jutland.

Note: speed limit in built up areas is 50 km/h and outside built up areas is 80 km/h, motorways is 130 km/h, unless signs tells you different. In roundabouts you have to give gave to traffic in the roundabout.

Mostly the roads around Jutland are straight and uncomplicated, the road signs are all clear and well maintained (not like here in the UK). Although I have not driven in Denmark, having been a passenger in the car from Billund airport to Horsens, my main advice is not to get freaked out going the %26quot;wrong way%26quot; round the round-a-bouts. There are a couple around the airport so you will get some practice straight away! Also the on-ramps to the highways appear a bit different to UK, but as there is generally less traffic it should be ok to take it easy until you get the hang of it. Finally I also noticed they have put %26quot;rumble strips%26quot; on the central markings on the main road to Billund, brill idea for safety, but good to know in case you do any overtaking so you don%26#39;t get a surprise at the noise!
